Source – The Financial Times, 17 November 2020 Prime Minister Boris Johnson writes in The Financial Times announcing his ten-point plan for a Green Industrial Revolution. To coincide with the UK Prime Minister’s announcement for the ambitious plan, Speakers for Schools is launching a campaign to introduce young people to Green Skills as future career options. Many of the points in the Prime Minister’s plan will be achieved by those who are in school today.

Green Skills Week 2021 Speakers for Schools is teaming up with Britain’s most environmentally focused employers to tackle the unemployment crisis and future-proof the next generation in a post-COVID economy. Leading digital platforms such as Spotify, despite their global popularity and innovative technology, may still be seen as difficult employers to access by many young people. Many students see only traditional paths into the music and audio industry, which allows for a restricted number of opportunities. Speakers for Schools wants to change this, so we partnered with Spotify and invited 15 young people to an action-packed day in central London.
