Join Birmingham Rep Theatre’s 45-minute Discovery Workshop to find out more about possibilities in the theatre industry!
This will be a brilliant opportunity for students to hear from Bhavik Parmar (Head of Education) and Molly Taylor (Pathways Manager) to learn not only about the multiple opportunities that come with studying and pursuing careers in the arts but also about their journeys into this industry.
The Theatre industry has over 120 different roles available of which acting is only 1!
This session will hopefully inspire you to seek out a career in the creative industry, allow you to understand why there is a need for creatives across the sector and think about career paths you may take yourselves.
This workshop will have the opportunity for Q&A, therefore teachers should come prepared with questions to engage in this session and share on behalf of students. As a pre-placement task idea, ask students to make a list of what they already know about careers the arts/theatre industry and what they would like to know more about, to prompt questions during the session.
