More than ever businesses are considering how they can work with more conscience. Operating ethically, giving back to communities, and leaving the environment in a better state are all focus areas for progressive firms.
But why?
This workshop will:
- Introduce the motives of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practice.
- Explain how businesses are contributing to the decarbonisation of the economy.
- Consider the value businesses can have in improving the lives of people in local communities
- Convey the importance of strong governance within successful companies.
Presentations and activities led by professionals at Gamma will give students the opportunity to consider whether they would be interested in working in Environmental, Social or Governance teams and will help them to appreciate the value they can add to businesses.
Students can expect to learn about some of the measures that they can take in their day to day lives to act more sustainably and help people in need and be inspired by the potential impact they could have on the world, when applying this action in a business setting.
