The Guinness Partnership is one of the largest providers of affordable homes and care in England with nearly 65,000 homes and 140,000 customers. This virtual discovery workshop will be engaging, interactive and fun and provides students an opportunity to learn from accomplished professionals about pathways to rewarding careers in social housing. The workshop links to curricula areas including construction, planning, social sciences, business, administration, health, and care and will highlight the essential skills needed to positively influence career prospects.

Jo Hopkins is an award-winning communications professional with over 20 years’ experience in the not-for-profit, public, and private sectors. Jo works as Internal Communications Manager and specialises in employee and internal communications which means helping staff understand what’s going on in the organisation by informing and engaging people with the strategy, values, aims and objectives of the business. In addition, she’s a young person’s mentor for The Access Project, a Communications Mentor for Charity Comms and a young person’s mentor for Unfold.
Naomi Moore – is an accomplished author who lectures and provides training and supervision to students who are studying for a Law Degree. Within Guinness, she works as a Litigation Lawyer specialising in Housing, Landlord & Tenant, Property and Civil Litigation Law. Previously, she has worked for charities, a private practice and for a Local Authority.
Edd Draper has spent over 10 years working in education and training including working as a Personal Development Coordinator, Head of Year, and a PE Teacher in a secondary school. He now works as the Training Manager at Guinness Property with a particular interest in information, advice, guidance, and careers support for young people including apprenticeships.
Speakers will showcase their varied careers and highlight subjects that have benefitted their career journeys, to contribute towards Gatsby Benchmarks 4 and 5.
