The stereotypical accountant has long been portrayed as a middle aged white man, but in 2022 this is just not the case! A survey has found that just under half of all qualified accountants are female, since the first female was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales back in 1919, Mary Harris Smith.
To celebrate International Women’s Day, we will be sharing what it is like to be a Female Accountant or Tax Advisor at Azets, featuring females from all over the UK.
Join this workshop to hear about the different pathways into Finance that they took, and describe any barriers they overcame along the way. Students will gain an understanding of how they could apply to Azets to be trained in accountancy or tax, and some of our top tips for the recruitment process!
This session will last approximately 1 hour and will cover;
- Senior Women and their experiences in Accounting & Finance
- Different routes into a career in finance, regardless of your gender!
- Top tips for the recruitment process
The chance to ask your burning questions about anything and everything to do with being a woman in finance!
