Do you want to know more about Careers in Construction?
Join Willmott Dixon for an informative and fun hour exploring all that the construction sector has to offer.
With over 180 different job roles, this session will cover career pathways and banish some of the myths associated with the sector.
This session will give students the opportunity to hear from our management trainees and will cover:-
- their career paths
- a day in the life of them at work
- what skills qualities they use on a daily basis
- why they chose the construction sector as a career
This workshop will have the opportunity for Q&A, therefore teachers should come prepared with questions to engage in this session and share on behalf of students. As a pre-placement task idea, ask students to make a list of what they already know about careers within the industry and what they would like to know more about, to prompt questions during the session.
Priority places for schools in the West Midlands.
This event is open to Yr 7 – Yr 9 within schools. The workshop will be delivered virtually on Google Classrooms, with sign-in to the events made via the class teacher on behalf of a whole class or year group. Teachers will be required to facilitate any questions during the session, from the groups through the live chat or q&a function.
