It’s been calculated we’ll need 27,000 more Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) in England over the next 4 years. There are 14 Allied Health Professions in total – including paramedics, physiotherapists, dieticians, art/drama therapists, and radiologists, to name just a few – and the workforce includes some of the most creative and innovative people to the NHS.

Did you know the AHP workforce also includes Support Workers and Assistants who can start in entry-level roles, without the need for a degree?

AHP Support Workers make a huge contribution for service-users and smooth service delivery across NHS departments. They enjoy a highly rewarding, varied, and developmental role, with support to gain qualifications and training on-the-job which can take them all the way to becoming a registered AHP – if they wanted!

Book your class/student group to this Discovery Workshop to hear more – The session will engage a range of students ,who may have varied interests across the curriculum, and especially those interested to work in healthcare but unsure if uni is the best choice for them.
