Speaker preferences for the Talk
This section helps us narrow to schools that would best fit your preferences and interests before getting in touch with you about an event. This information is not put online with your profile or shared with schools.
Preferred locations for a Talk
Since speakers donate their time and travel, we endeavour to set up events within areas you are already based or are happy to travel to where possible. We will filter and prioritise school requests to match these areas, and check with you/your office if we have suggestions further afield. Feel free to include those regions you both occasionally visit (e.g. for friends, family, work trips) and those which you are based (e.g. office, home) and/or those locations en-route that might work for finding a school. We have a significant shortage of speakers in the North East, rural North West and East Midlands. If there will be any possibility of co-ordinating a talk with travel plans to these regions, please let us know. Please list at least two locations.

Details for Travel
Please let us know more about your ability to travel within these locations or any further preferences on areas (i.e. “I am based in London, but have annual conferences at the University of Manchester so could do a talk there in the Spring.”):
Topic Guideline for the talk
The topic areas below both relate to your area of expertise, as well as the potential topic of the talk itself, but are used a general guideline when pairing you with a school. You/your office will be directly in touch with the school and should tailor the particular focus of the event based on their students’ needs and your preferences. As a note, these are non-curriculum specific talks. They are a chance for a speaker to share their personal insights and background to more broadly inform and motivate students.
Please select at least one topic area.

Speakers for Schools has launched a free programme for its speakers' organisations, S4SNextGen, helping open up fairer work experience placements, insight days and related opportunities to the state school students who need it most.
I am happy to hear how the charity might be able to help my organisation better reach state school students lacking access to our industry or company
I do not wish to hear further about this new programme
Obsolete Work Experience Opt in (Kept for data)
