Adam Gee

Adam commissions documentaries at Little Dot Studios, London. He specialises in online video and is also one of the most experienced commissioners in UK broadcasting of multiplatform interactive projects around TV. As Multiplatform Commissioning Editor at Channel 4 his projects ranged from Hugh’s Fish Fight with Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall to One Born Every Minute, from Embarrassing Bodies to Jamie’s Dream School. He is expert in combining TV, web and mobile in imaginative, innovative and impactful ways.

Adam has won over 70 international awards for his productions including three BAFTAs, an Emmy, two Media Guardian Innovation Awards and the Grand Award at the New York International Film & Television Festival.

Adam has served on BAFTA’s Television and Interactive Entertainment committees and is a voting member of the European Film Academy. He is a trustee of Culture24, which helps a broader range of people access museums and riches from the UK cultural sector. He is also a trustee of URM8, a sexual health information charity focused on access through mobile phones.

Adam served as an advisor on the government’s Byron Review of Children and New Technology (looking at child safety with regard to the internet and video games, published in 2008). He won the first ever Interactive Entertainment BAFTA in 1998 for a game called MindGym.

At school he specialised in literature and modern languages, and his degree is in Modern Languages. He studied at university in France during his gap year. He was born and bred in London, and married in Ireland where he spends much of his free time. He lives with his Northern Irish wife and sons in North London.
