Catherine Howarth
Catherine Howarth is Chief Executive of ShareAction, a charity which campaigns for responsible and ethical investment in the UK. Using shareholder activism as a tool for transforming business behaviour, ShareAction works with partners including Amnesty UK, Greenpeace, and Christian Aid to demand strict adherence to human rights around the world, respect for the environment, Living Wages standards across the FTSE 100 companies, and a halt to escalating pay at the top of UK business.
Catherine holds a Masters Degree in Industrial Relations from the London School of Economics and a First Class Bachelors Degree from Oxford University in Modern History.
In June 2011 Catherine was named a ‘Rising Star of Corporate Governance’ by Yale University’s, Millstein Center. In May 2011 Investment and Pensions Europe called her one of the ‘top ten women in pensions’.
