Chris Askew

I have been Chief Executive of Diabetes UK since 2015. Before that, I was the Chief Executive at Breakthrough Breast Cancer and led the charity eventually into a merger to create the new charity, Breast Cancer Now.
I started working as a charity fundraiser after a number of years working as a shipbroker in the City of London and have been lucky to work and volunteer at some great charities, including Crisis, Action for Children, the Multiple Sclerosis Society and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. I really enjoy being able to make a positive difference through my work and being able to work alongside many brilliant colleagues. When not at work, I’m probably driving my kids around or on my mountain bike.
