Christina McKelvie
Minister for Older People and Equalities, Scottish Government & MSP for Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse, Scottish National Party
Christina McKelvie was elected as an SNP MSP for Central Scotland in 2007, and then re-elected in 2011 as the constituency MSP for Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse. She is Convener of the Scottish Parliament’s European and External Relations Committee.
Before being elected, Christina worked for Glasgow City Council social work services as a Learning and Development Officer. A long-time active trade unionist, she now convenes the SNP backbench parliamentary trade union group. Christina lives with her two sons.
