Dr Oluwabukola Daniel

Oluwabukola is a chartered electrical engineer with over 8 years’ experience of working in the UK energy sector. Prior to moving into the industry, she worked as a Research associate at the University of Nottingham where she completed her PhD in Electrical Engineering. She joined the EDF Energy graduate scheme where she was opportune to work on various Nuclear and Coal power stations within the UK.

She currently works at the Electricity National Control Centre owned by National Grid. As a Power System Engineer at the National Control Centre, she works within a team responsible
for balancing the GB power grid up to 6 hours before real time.

She is passionate about mentoring and supporting young people, especially girls in STEM related career.
