Dr Ulinka Rublack
Ulinka Rublack was born and raised in Germany. She first came to Britain to study history at Cambridge University and the returned to complete a doctorate on the position of women in the criminal justice system during an age of state formation (1500-1700). She is interested in all aspects of the early modern period and writes to connect with past humanity. Ulinka has written on the Reformation, on state-building, dress and the material world, men’s and women’s lives, and she is currently writing a book about science and witchcraft which focuses on the trial against Johannes Kepler’s mother.
