I am a general practitioner who is due to retire soon. I have done a lot of work with young people over the years and have always received good feedback re: my mentoring skills.
I am very interested in young people and empowering them to have a career.
I feel strongly that in the current world young people are discouraged from studying long courses such as medicine because of the cost. There are many ways to do this and cost should never be a deterrent
For example most potential young doctors are unaware of funding available via scholarships ,bursaries and army sponsorship programmes.
I firmly believe that a career gives freedom especially in young women and would aim to encourage a young person to fulfill their dream
