Eric Salama

Chair, Comic Relief & Chair, Kantar Publics

Eric is the Chair of Comic Relief, the UKs best known charity; Chair Of Kantar Publics, the worlds leading research organisation focused on social policy issues; and Board Advisor at Local Globe, Europes leading tech focused venture capital investor. He is also a Board Member at Morning Consult.

Prior to taking on these roles Eric had a 30 year career at WPP, the worlds largest marketing services company, as Strategy Director for WPP and CEO of Kantar, its consumer insight and data management division. Eric led the sale of £4bn Kantar to Bain Capital in 2019.

Prior to that Eric was Managing Director of The Henley Centre, Europe’s leading consumer consultancy. And previous to that he was a researcher and speechwriter to The Labour Party Foreign Affairs Team in the House of Commons.

He has a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Trinity College oxford and an MSc with distinction in Economics from Birkbeck College London.

Eric has been a non-executive director at DFID (the UK Government’s Department for International Development), a Trustee of The British Museum and a Governor of Birkbeck College.
