Gidon is Vice-President of Government and Regulatory Affairs for NBCUniversal International (NBCU). NBCU is a global film and television company that produces and distributes world-leading content for global audiences. Recent films/TV shows that the company is responsible for include the Jurassic films, Bridget Jones, Mamma Mia and Downton Abbey. NBCU’s US businesses include the Universal film studio and the NBC television network.

Gidon worked in business journalism and in public affairs and communications consultancy before joining NBCU in 2010. He works on regulation and government affairs issues across the company’s various businesses internationally. This includes dealing with foreign (non-US) Governments and regulators on issues such as broadcasting and film regulations; tax, trade and market access policy; intellectual property/copyright reforms and helping to deal with the problems of online piracy.
