Ian Dunn

Chief Operating Officer, PlantLife

Ian Dunn joined Plantlife as Chief Executive in early 2020 having spent 4 years as Chief Operating Officer at the University of Southampton. Previously Ian was the Chief Executive of the Galapagos Conservation Trust and on the managing board of the British Antarctic Survey. He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.

Prior to joining BAS Ian spent nearly 25 years in business. Ian holds a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science, an MBA, and in 2014 was awarded a distinction for a Masters in Studies of Sustainability Leadership at Cambridge University. Ian is Trustee/Deputy Chair of the Scottish Association for Marine Science and Trustee/Hon Treasurer of the UK Antarctic Heritage Trust.
