Joy Tacon

Joy Tacon is a graduate of Wycombe Abbey School and the University of Houston in Texas where she attended on a tennis scholarship. She also has a Bachelor of Science in International Finance and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
She was a professional tennis player from 1984 – 1989 and was ranked in the top 200 in the world. Joy represented England and Great Britain, was the Captain of England in 1987 and won the Silver Medal for Great Britain at the 1985 World Student Games. She has competed all over the world including Wimbledon in 1985, 1986 and 1988 and the Australian Open in 1988. In 1997, Joy was Hong Kong Doubles Champion. In 2014 she represented Great Britain at the World Seniors Tennis Championships.
Joy lived in Hong Kong from 1994 to 2011 where she started, ran, built and then sold a legal technology company, specialising in technology in the law courts and for lawyers. As Managing Director, Joy began from one office in Hong Kong then growing to an Asian business operating throughout Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Currently, she is Managing Director of a private UK investment property company and a consultant for Yoke Consultancy (from 2019), which specialises in Wellbeing and Resilience for the Corporate World. Joy took on this recent job with Yoke due to her interest in Mental Health and is responsible for growing the business both in the UK and Internationally.
Joy is a volunteer and trustee for 2 tennis Charities, helping raise money and bring tennis to disadvantaged communities worldwide. Joy also volunteers on and is the first woman to be elected (2018) onto the RAC Steering Committee for the Veteran Car run.
