Biography

JUDY ASLETT started her career at ITN as a graduate trainee. She became Africa Correspondent for Channel Four News (1991-95) and covered the first democratic elections in South Africa in 1994 for which she was nominated for a BAFTA award. Judy also covered the wars in Angola and Mozambique and elections in Zambia and Kenya. Returning to London she became Foreign Editor at Channel Four News then moved to Five News as Diplomatic Correspondent covering the handover of Hong Kong and the war in Kosovo. Judy now trains journalists and filmmakers working in conflict areas around the world as well as researching the use of film in the #EndFGM campaign. She is on the UK committee of the Ethical Journalism Network.
