Julia worked across a number of senior roles in High Street Retail before she joined Ford Retail in 2013. Previously with brands such as Virgin Records, Safeway, Bhs, Cargo and Argos she has had responsibility for buying and marketing across a wide spectrum of product areas including music & entertainment, grocery , fashion, furniture and home products. Her experience includes organisational and product re-branding; launching websites and development of the in-store customer journey.
Today she heads up the Marketing and E-commerce for Ford of Britain’s wholly owned dealership network, Ford Retail who trade as TrustFord. This involves planning, managing and executing all elements of marketing including advertising, PR, direct marketing campaigns, partnerships, events, social media and content management.
Of her role today she says, ‘this is a very exciting time to be in automotive retail. Ford products go from strength to strength and our customers expect to be able to connect with us in many different ways and at all times. Whether it is in the dealership or online we have to push ourselves constantly to innovate and be the very best in market. As importantly it is critical that we lead by example in the workplace, getting the best results centres on how we behave – as leaders, colleagues and in the wider environment.’
