Kevin Gothelf is the founder and leader of The Cogent Partnership Group, providing Business Counsel to senior leaders in industry across the world. The provision of Business Counsel combines elements of coaching and consulting, with a strong ‘person centred’ focus. It involves perceptive questioning to facilitate growth in self-awareness and self-development. It also brings business insights and discerning advice based on reflection, deep experience and contextual analysis.

Working with senior leaders he creates a unique opportunity for reflection and critical thinking. This can remain discrete, or it can be supported with contextual analysis and leader support activities.

As Business Counsel, Kevin enables clients to more effectively lead their Boards, organisations and teams to deliver improved business results.

Kevin is a widely experienced business leader, specialising in Leadership & High Performance Team capability development. Kevin is recognised for inspiring and building the confidence of others. He began his career in the consumer goods industry, working for several years with the Procter & Gamble Company. He moved into the professional services industry initially as a Director in the Field Marketing Industry and has subsequently has held various leadership and Partner positions including KPMG Consulting, Inforte Corp, and IBM Global Business Services.

Kevin has worked with Harvard professor and business strategy author Professor Michael Porter and is currently associated with Professor Marcus Alexander at The London Business School where Kevin speaks on the London Business School M&A programme. Kevin’s work embodies the learning and experiences gained from working with many clients developing actionable strategies that can support strategic positioning and drive long-term value.

Having qualified in Business Studies at Leeds in the UK, he has continued his professional development through a wide array of programmes in the USA and Europe. This has included the IMD in Switzerland and programmes with many accomplished tutors, for example gaining a certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Coaching with Professor Stephen Palmer in London. Kevin is also a certified practitioner with the Roche Martin Emotional Capital psychometric.

Kevin is married with three children, and lives in the north west of London.
