Executive Director, Cicero Group
Originally from Canklow, Rotherham, I attended Brinsworth School before studying politics and economics at Newcastle University. I then moved to London to work as a Parliamentary assistant to several Labour ministers in 1997 through to 1999. I then became a lobbyist working in London, Brussels and then Washington DC. Back in London I became a lobbyist for the Royal Bank of Scotland before joining Cicero Group where I helped build the public affairs practice. It is now the largest public affairs consultancy in the UK. I am currently responsible for running market research and digital services. I have become an award-winning mental health campaigner through my involvement with mental health charities and government working groups. I combine this with being a school governor in both Rotherham and London. I am also a Trustee of Governors for Schools, a national charity. I enjoy sport having cycled the length and Britain and France twice and completed over 20 marathons with a sub-3-hour personal best. I am a season ticket holder at Arsenal and also support Rotherham United.
