Oliver Duff
Oliver Duff is Editor of the i newspaper, Britain’s fastest-growing daily title. He’s currently the youngest national newspaper editor.
Brought up in Bedfordshire, he wanted to be an explorer, then Arsenal goalkeeper, before finally getting sidetracked into journalism, writing for his local paper. He read Politics at St John’s College, Cambridge, before starting work in newspapers as an admin assistant. He has worked as a reporter, gossip columnist, travel writer and news editor, nominated for the Cudlipp Award for excellence in popular journalism – although he was fired as a bar critic after three weeks.
He was a member of the team who launched the i newspaper in October 2010 and has covered the Olympics, two general elections, the London terror attacks and the phone hacking scandal.
He lives in central London with his partner. Away from work, he’s a member of the Royal Geographical Society and a keen scuba diver and surfer.
