Paul Richardson

Paul joined the Board of SOGB in November 2019 as Chair designate and took over as Chair in December 2019. A Solicitor by qualification, Paul’s early career was as a sports lawyer and has advised multiple rights owners, broadcasters, sponsors and athletes on a number of different governance and commercial aspects and worked on a number of major worldwide sporting events.

Moving from a legal role into senior leadership, Paul has lead a number of transformation programmes across diverse, complex, regulated businesses as Chair or CEO of both public and private companies. Alongside his professional career Paul has also enjoyed building significant experience in the charity sector as Chair of the Steve Redgrave Trust, has been a member of the NSPCC Sports Steering Committee and also a Trustee of WellChild.
