Rachael Heenan

I am Senior Partner at Capsticks Solicitors and lead the firm who work with organisations who seek to make a difference in the world such as the NHS and housing sectors.

I was the first one in my family who went to university initially qualifying as a barrister and then a solicitor. I had two jobs to pay my way through university and law school working as a care assistant and in a supermarket.

I am a champion and regular speaker on women in the law, leadership, wellbeing and mental health, diversity and social mobility. I was voted Top 100 Lawyers in the country in 2018 due to my management of the firm. I have suffered with depression, anxiety and PTSD during my career and I was nominated as a Role Model for the Inside Out leaderboard highlighting mental health.
