Richard Baker is a Managing Partner of bd-capital, a Private Equity firm that he co-founded in 2019, and a Board Member of the All England Lawn Tennis Club.

In 2017 Richard was voted Footse 100 Non-Exec Director of the year by the Sunday Times Business section for his work and approach as Whitbread Chairman.
* Richard was then the youngest Chairman in the Footse 100 at the age of 50.
** Richard was then the youngest CEO in the Footse 100 at the age of 39. Four years later in 2007, Richard sold Alliance Boots to KKR for £11.3bn, having trebled its value, in what is still the largest public to private transaction in British corporate history.
