Former Chief Corporate Officer, Veolia Environmental Services

Robert studied law a Pembroke College Oxford and trained as a solicitor in the City of London. He specialised in corporate law and projects and joined Veolia Environmental Services (UK) plc as General Counsel in 2001. Latterly he worked in Paris for the Transport Division of Veolia Environnement as International General Counsel and Projects Director before re-joining Veolia Environmental Services as Executive Director in charge of Business Development, Projects and External Affairs.

Robert has been involved in a large number of corporate transactions and Projects in healthcare, education, publishing, transport and waste management. He has a particular interest in the training and development of staff and is involved in Veolia’s talent management and mentoring programmes as well as being part of the Executive Board of Veolia.

Robert has also acted as an Independent Pension Trustee for over 17 years.

Robert is a keen squash and tennis player and also has a deep interest in Music, Art and Literature and divides his time between his home in North Wiltshire and London.
