Hockey Player, Great Britain Hockey


Sarah is a former England and Great Britain Hockey player, gaining 122 International caps and winning Commonwealth and European medals, as well as being a part of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic squad. Sarah is also the captain of the record breaking Surbiton Hockey Club Ladies 1st XI who have won the Vitality Premier League for 7 consecutive seasons. Sarah has experienced such highs but also the lows that come with competing in elite sport, and is excited to share her experiences and learnings with the next generation and inspire children to get active. Sarah is also incredibly passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion both within sport and society as a whole, she is a member of England Hockey’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Board, spearheaded GB Hockey’s Stick It To Racism campaign, and uses her platform to push for change. Sarah was selected as a member of the prestigious Women’s Sport Trust Unlocked programme, helping to make women’s sport more visible and enabling athletes to tackle issues they are passionate about.
