Tilly Franklin

Chief Investment Officer of the Cambridge University Endowment Fund

Tilly Franklin is a Director of Investments at Alta Advisers, a London-based single family investment office. At Alta, Ms Franklin’s primary responsibility is for the construction and supervision of a substantial global portfolio of investments in private equity funds. She also participates in multi-asset class portfolio reviews and asset allocation. Ms Franklin joined Alta in March 2008. She was previously a Principal at Apax Partners, where she led a number of successful leveraged buyout transactions during her eight-year tenure. Prior to Apax, Ms Franklin held a number of positions at BBC Worldwide Ltd, Virgin Management Ltd. and McKinsey & Company. Ms Franklin is a member of the Cambridge University Investment Board, and of the Investment Committee of Jesus College, Cambridge. She holds a first class degree from Cambridge University in English Literature and an MBA from London Business School, and was a Kennedy Scholar at Harvard’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.
