Tim is CEO of Essence in EMEA, a position he has held since December 2018. Prior to that he was the COO at Essence.
Essence is a media planning and buying agency focusing on working with clients who want to drive transformative change in marketing. Across EMEA Essence employs c. 500 people and our clients include Google, BT, NBC Universal, The Financial Times, Peloton and Nando’s.
Prior to joining Essence at the start of 2018, Tim was COO of Maxus His task was to ensure that Maxus’s business operations were efficient in the short term and effective and relevant as the industry continues to go through a period of substantial change. Tim was Maxus MD from its inception in 2008 and helped the agency grow to the UK’s number 7 agency with client billings in excess of £400m and 250 employees.
From 1999 to 2008 Tim was joint MD of boutique media agency BJK&E. And before the internet he had spells at Yellowhammer, Generator, Billett’s and Lintas.
Tim has 3 teenage children and spends most of his free time trying to keep up with them.
