Tom Attwood

Tom Attwood was for a number of years Chief Executive of Intermediate Capital Group PLC. He was previously a Non-Executive Director of ICG and helped the founders raise its initial equity in 1989 and was responsible for ICG’s flotation in 1994. Prior to that Tom was a Director of James Capel & Co, now HSBC Investment Bank. He has also been a Non-Executive Director of a number of buyout companies (IPC Media and Gala Coral) and until recently a Director of the Private Equity Foundation and a Director of the Centre for Social Justice.
Tom is now Chairman of HgCapital LLP and a member of the Commission for Social Mobility and Child Poverty. He is also co-sponsor of 5 academies in Thanet, Kent.
