
Trevor Jones
Trevor Jones qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1967 and began working as Group Chief Accountant and then General Manager for a large Ford dealership in Manchester, UK.
After winning a national award with Ford in 1975 he founded ASE plc (originally Trevor Jones Chartered Accountants) with a staff of one. Now ASE’s team of 260 work with thousands of motor dealers and all the major manufacturers across 50 countries around the world, to improve dealer, and dealer network, profitability.
With more than 40 years’ of providing motor trade tax and audit services to the motor trade, being one of the first and now leading suppliers of dealer composite data from thousands of dealers to motor manufacturers worldwide, as well as delivering practical advice to improve dealer performance through the ProFit Optimisation team, ASE’s expertise and automotive focus is unique.
Trevor was awarded the prestigious “outstanding achievement” award by the UK motor trade in 2008 previous winners include Sir Arnold Clark and Sir Peter Vardy.
He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a fellow of the Institute of the Motor Industry and Chairman of the Automotive Fellowship International
Trevor enjoys all sports, in particular football and between 1980 and 1986 was a Football League referee in England.
Trevor’s participation has been made possible through Speakers for Schools partnership with the UK Automotive 30% Club and his school talks will include a focus on inspiring girls to consider opportunities in the automotive sector and encouraging all students to aim high.
