This workshop will look to cover the basics of creating a CV, portfolio & cover letter for architecture or design-based job and university applications. As the workshop leaders are both architects, the examples used will be architecture based, however many of the skills and ideas will be transferable to other design professions.

This workshop will look to cover the basics of creating a CV, portfolio & cover letter for architecture or design-based job and university applications. As the workshop leaders are both architects, the examples used will be architecture based, however many of the skills and ideas will be transferable to other design professions.

During the workshop we will cover:

  • What to show on a CV and how to gear it to design professions.
  • How to format a portfolio. Which of you work is best to show? How much is enough? What do employers want to see?
  • How to write a cover letter that suits each individual employer.
  • Review examples of each of the above.

When applying, answer the following questions

  • Personality: How would your family and friends describe you?
