Come along to our three-day Virtual Work Experience opportunity and find out more.
During the Virtual Work Experience you will take part in a range of sessions, meet nurses working across the different fields of nursing and in different roles, and gain knowledge of skills needed to start a career in nursing and other fields. You will take part in interactive sessions, talks and tasks, and have lots of opportunities to ask questions.
You will find out about different areas of nursing;
- Adult nursing
- Children’s nursing
- Learning Disability nursing
- Mental Health nursing
- Community and Primary Care Nursing
- Research Nursing
and some of the different roles available; how you can get into nursing, and what you can do now to get the skills you need to apply. You’ll get to meet a variety of nurses and hear their stories and advice, including how they have developed their career and what they love about being a nurse.
At the end of the experience you will have developed skills and an understanding of this exciting career.
You will need to have internet and computer access for the duration of the 3 days.
Somewhere quiet to work from 10am – 3pm, Monday to Wednesday.
Lunch and breaks will be taken during the day.
We’ll send you a full schedule the week before. The work experience is delivered using Google Classrooms that meets all GDPR and Safeguarding requirements.
You will need to join each session every day.
