CAMOR are a specialist security company with a focus on asset (both physical and people) and infrastructure protection. With our team of security experts, all of whom come from a UK Counter Terrorism background.

We have all had that “gut feeling” where we think that something does not feel right, but do we know what to do when we get that feeling?

Channelling and developing our natural “gut instincts” can help develop our skills, knowledge, and understanding of what constitutes a risk to our online or personal safety.

There is a wealth of material warning us of the dangers that we face online, and how to protect ourselves, but do we ever stop to think of the consequences of what we post or share on Social Media? Decisions that we make now can have damaging effects on our future, in extreme circumstances lead to criminal prosecution, or lead to being targeted through online “Social Engineering” resulting in being forced into doing something we don’t want to do. Criminal and Terrorist Groups often use Social Engineering tactics to recruit or coerce, and sports professionals are now facing the consequences of poor decision making, so do you think before you post?

In real life, we can also face situations that our “gut” tells us could cause harm to our physical and personal safety. Situational awareness and communication are critical when dealing with such incidents – sometimes it is not what is being said, more how it is said, and the ability to read body languand behaviours can give us an early opportunity to de-escalate tensions and manany potential conflict.

Developing an understanding and applying the principles of personal safety to real life situations helps us remain calm and keep us safe. Would you know what to do?

When applying, answer the following questions

  • Which of your skills would you like to improve?
