This opportunity is part of the South Yorkshire Virtual Careers Festival, places are only available for students aged 14-16 from Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham & Sheffield due to project funding.

Have you ever wondered how a building is designed? How can the existing buildings we have be brought into the 21st century?
Architects, AHR, will be speaking at the South Yorkshire Virtual Career Insight Festival on Friday 8th July 2022, 10am-12pm.
This insight session provides the opportunity to learn more about the industry, the profession and AHR employees will share what inspired them to become an architect, explain their career journey, the routes into architecture and the salary you can expect to earn.
We will also take you through some of the numerous other careers available within the wider property sector.
We will give an overview of AHR, showcasing the depth and breadth of our work across sectors and geographies including those in the Sheffield City Region and across Yorkshire and the North East.
We will showcase how in this fast-paced world where things are constantly changing technologies like gaming engines and 3D design software are the new tools of the architect.
Come along and find out more about architecture and how new technology is being used to develop new projects and develop existing buildings.

AHR is a multi-award winning architecture and building consultancy practice, with a legacy dating back to 1835. We provide a range of services, including architecture and design, building surveying, interior design, landscape design, BIM consultancy and laser scanning. We also work across a range of sectors, such as residential, education, public buildings, office, healthcare, leisure and transport. The projects we work on are diverse, for example ranging from a new multi-million leisure center, to the refurbishment of a historic Listed building, or from a large-scale housing scheme , to upgrading facilities at a school. Our team includes architects, building surveyors, technicians and technologists, but also our support functions, such as HR, finance, IT and marketing.
