Journalists are the reason we know about the world – from being on the ground, reporting on breaking news, to breaking the news themselves and exposing key stories the general public should be aware of.
The London and SE Speakers for Schools Team are delighted to offer a live discovery session with journalist Alan Jones. This is a fantastic opportunity to draw on Alan’s wealth of experience and knowledge of the sector.
The aim of the session is to give students unique access to a real life journalist which enables them to match their own skills and preferences to then determine their own appetite for potentially working in the sector one day. Aimed at Y12 students, the morning will comprise 3 parts:
1) Story telling and insights from Alan
2) Shorthand demonstration
3) Q & A
Pupils will be able to direct questions to Alan during the live Q&A using the interactive chat functions.
