The world needs to move towards cleaner energy sources in order to tackle climate change! But did you know that a wind turbine (3MW) needs 2000kg of rare earths? Or that demand for lithium could increase by 965% by 2050?
Critical minerals such as lithium and rare earth elements are the building blocks for society, and for new technologies.
Careers in geoscience, mineral extraction, processing, recycling will only become more relevant as the demand for these important materials continues to increase.
Our session will explain the importance of critical minerals and highlight some of the career pathways in this space, before opening up to Q&A.
