Paul Hodgson

I’m Head of Government Affairs at Royal London – the largest mutual life insurance and pensions company in the UK. We are a member-owned business and our focus is on creating value for our customers and members. That means we need to ‘promote’ Royal London and our values with policy makers and ‘protect’ the interests of the company and its members, for example through responses to key government consultations.

My previous roles have included working for the Coalition Government as Special Adviser in the Department of Energy & Climate Change where we focused on leading the transition to green energy generation.
