The Lowry is a large arts venue based in Salford committed to using visual and performing arts to enrich people’s lives. Join us for our Discovery Workshop – Role of a Professional Actor – where we will offer insight into what the life of a working actor looks like. There will be introductions, practical advice, true-life tales of wonder and a question & answer session where any question, big or small, can be asked.

Have you ever wondered how someone chooses a career in acting? Do you know what are the biggest challenges are? Now is your chance to hear from an actor and gain all sorts or useful tips and advice, you’ll hear directly from someone who has worked many years across stage and screen and hopefully learn things you never knew.

Dominique Jackson is a British actress, known for her roles in Hollyoaks and Waterloo Road. She has extensive credits including Casualty, Doctors, The Bill, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, children’s TV series Becky and Barnaby Bear and the west End production of Annie.
