The SYREC Schools Team for NHS and Social Care Careers are pleased to be offering during National Science Week a 1 hour insight on Wednesday 9th May 9am to 10am into the careers you can have by studying science at school or college.
We will showcase a maximum of 5 different NHS Scientist roles each of which is rooted in a different branch of science biology, chemistry and physics, so there should be something to suit every preference.
We will hear from experts in science roles in the Health and Social Care sector to show pupils how the science they are studying is used in the real world. Pupils will learn about exciting roles in the Health and Social Care sector and what they need to do to access those careers.
The workshops are delivered virtually on Google Classroom. Sign-in to the events is via the class teacher on behalf of a whole class or year group so there is no limit to the number of pupils you can bring to the session.
Pupils will each complete an accompanying worksheet, sent out to teachers prior to the event and will be able to direct questions to the panel during live Q&A using the interactive chat functions.
