You will be part of two creative studios based in Farringdon, London.


Universal Design Studio, specialising in interiors, architecture and how people experience the spaces they live, work and play in.


Map Project Office, a specialist industrial design studio working on projects that are driven by new technologies.


From designing the train interiors for the new Elizabeth Line to creating new workspaces, restaurants and exhibitions in London and across the world. The studios are rooted in creativity.


Working with a range of exciting clients we deliver projects that are focused on people. Our team works collaboratively to drive concepts and test ideas through sketches, model making, visualisation and drawing.


Another part of our team are those who sit in non-design roles, helping to support the creative work of our designers. This includes design operations, communications and marketing and the studio support team.


Key parts of this work experience placement:


  • You will be immersed in our studio environment and able to see how it runs day to day by meeting different members from our team.
  • You will be given your own mini project to undertake which will help you understand how commercial projects work.
  • You will get the chance to use all of the resources in our studio space and collaborate with the experts in our studio to help undertake your task.


Dedicated members of our team will work with you during your placement, helping to mentor you and to show you what it is like to work in a busy creative studio in London.


(Students will go through a selection process to ensure suitability for placements they have applied to. Adverts may also close for applications earlier than the specified date, should we receive a high number of applications)

Expenses Provided:

We will reimburse travel expenses, but students will need to obtain all travel receipts for their reimbursement between £100 - R150. We also offer free breakfast, provide lunch, snacks & drinks in the studio.
