Charmaine Griffiths

Charmaine is Chief Executive of the British Heart Foundation, the leading independent funder of cardiovascular research across the UK. Since her PhD in Neuroscience at University College London she has been passionate about the power of research and innovation to save and improve lives.

Charmaine has held senior leadership roles at leadership roles with organisations and programmes including The Institute of Cancer Research, The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, The London Cancer Hub, NHS England and Brain Research UK.

Charmaine is currently Chair of the Global Cardiovascular Research Funders Forum and The Cranfield Trust, and a Board Member of the European Heart Network.
