Dr Barry Paraskeva

Mr Paraskeva is a Consultant surgeon and a reader in surgery at Imperial College London and St Mary’s Hospital in London. He has a specialist interest in Cancer and keyhole surgery and has pioneered some innovative surgical procedures for patients throughout the UK and Europe. He is well recognised medical educator, regularly lecturing to medical students around the UK. He is involved in designing teaching and curricula for medical students and is chairman of the surgical examiners at Imperial College where is deputy head of the Division of Surgery for teaching.
Mr Paraskeva enjoys motivating students of all ages, and has often given motivational speeches relating to medicine and has shared experiences of notable times during his career such as the July 7th Bombings in London in 2005
