Fiona Henderson

Assistant Chief Officer (Continuous Improvement and Analytics)

I joined Essex police in January 2023 after having spent almost 10 years working for Norfolk and Suffolk Constabularies, where I started after completing a degree in Criminology. My very first role was as a researcher in the analytical department, after which I became an analyst before moving into leadership roles. I am incredibly passionate about policing and the service we provide to the public which, and as a member of police staff I feel as strongly about that as my officer colleagues. I feel immensely privileged to now be in a position to work with the wider chief officer team to shape our organisation to be the best it can be in order to keep our communities safe.
Outside work, I am a mother of two teenage boys and married to an engineer. We live just outside Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk and enjoy the semi-rural way of life. I am a keen runner and gardener, and love to spend my time in the company of loved ones and good food.
