Joshua Coombes

Joshua Coombes is a British hairstylist and founder of DoSomethingForNothing – a movement that encourages and inspires people to connect their skills and time to people who need them. From humble beginnings, this was initiated in 2016. Joshua’s desire was to positively impact the lives of men and women experiencing homelessness by offering them free haircuts on the streets of London. By posting transformative images on Instagram, Joshua’s platform continues to grow as he amplifies stories that all too often go unheard. This message of kindness, understanding, and perspective is one that comes as an important time in modern society. It serves as a reminder of how we can all make a difference in our own way, and how small actions can spark a broader conversation and bring about change.

This mission has caught the attention of media outlets in Europe and has rippled worldwide. Coverage includes appearing in National Geographic’s series ‘The Story of Us’ w/ Morgan Freeman released on Netflix internationally. Today, Joshua continues his efforts by collaborating with organisations in different countries and giving talks internationally. He recently wrote his first book titled Do Something For Nothing, which has been published in the UK, Australia, NZ, USA & Canada.
