Neil Glover

Neil is Head of Materials Research at Rolls-Royce. As an engineer and materials scientist, he is responsible for leading the development of new technologies for aero-engines. Neil and his team develop the advanced materials that make current and future jet engines possible.
Neil joined Rolls-Royce in 1996 after studying at Cambridge University. He has worked across the company in a range of technical roles in the Civil Aerospace, Defence Aerospace and Nuclear sectors. In his current role he works with companies and universities all over the world to stay at the leading edge of technology.
He is a Vice President of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, and is a keen sponsor of STEM and outreach activities. He is a regular speaker at conferences, industry events, local societies, schools and universities.
