Patrick Harrison was Prince Charles’ Press Secretary for 11 years, playing a key role in shaping and enhancing the Royal Family’s reputation, including introducing the Duchess of Cornwall to public life, protecting Princes William’s and Harry’s privacy and encouraging a more proactive approach to media relations. This work combined crisis communications with strategic reputational management and proactive campaigning on charitable and environmental initiatives. Patrick led the multi-stakeholder communications teams for the 2005 and 2011 royal weddings and 24 official tours to 37 countries as well as managing ground-breaking documentaries and overseeing two award-winning website redesigns.
Initially trained as a journalist, Patrick worked on various local newspapers before spending 8 years in Central Government Communications. He is currently Director of Reputation Management at international award winning PR firm Weber Shandwick, working with a wide range of businesses and organisations in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
