Paul Arnold MBE

Paul is the DeputyChief Executive at the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). The ICO’s purpose is to ‘Empower you through information’.

The ICO is responsible for regulating the way personal information is used across the economy and for the way public information is made available.

Paul is an experienced Executive leader and Board member, passionate about achieving excellence through clarity of purpose. He believes in leading by creating environments and building relationships which enable people to excel, learn and develop.

Through his work in data privacy and information rights regulation Paul believes in clarity and simplicity wherever possible, enabling businesses to plan and innovate with certainty and the public to participate and engage in society and the economy with confidence.

As a visually impaired person Paul is also passionate about equality of access to opportunity and the importance of people like him, doing jobs like his, making it easy to assume that others will do the same.
